Quick facts
The largest cased N coil in the END4X series
A coil for 5-ton systems
Arcoaire’s END4X60L24A tops the END4X series. This 5-ton (60,000 BTU/h) N evaporator coil, R-410A, completes large central systems: large single-family homes, plexes cooled by one system, projects where the 5-ton outdoor unit is already chosen. It sits flush on a 24-1/2 in electric furnace or air handler, in upflow or downflow.
The figures that matter
The ICP sheet gives it an 8.02 sq ft face area, a 24 x 16 in slab and 17 fins per inch, for an airflow range of 1,750 to 2,000 CFM. The TXV is bolted on at the factory, equalizer tube already brazed in. Main tubing and fins are aluminum, with copper stubs for connecting the 3/8 in (liquid) and 7/8 in (suction) lines.
The 24-1/2 in (622 mm) cabinet is pre-painted steel, insulated with foil-faced insulation and designed not to sweat. Its front panel comes off for service and its flanges are hemmed. Arcoaire presents its N coils as shorter than comparable A coils.
An installation that takes planning
At 78 lb (35 kg) shipping weight, this coil needs a clear path to the furnace, often down the basement stairs. Airflow matters just as much: the blower and ducts must allow 1,750 to 2,000 CFM, otherwise the system gets noisy and some rooms stay warm. Finally, a coil of this capacity removes a lot of water from the air during heat waves; its two drain connections let us choose the best route to a floor drain or a condensate pump.
The ICP sheet does not name every dimension on its drawing and does not state use with a heat pump. We therefore measure the available height and confirm the match with the outdoor unit before any order.
What AirGreen does
The on-site estimate is free and you receive a written quote. Our technicians set the coil, connect the plenum, braze the lines, hook up the drain, run the leak test and the evacuation, then commission the system. AirGreen is a family business established in Montreal for more than fifteen years, holding RBQ licence 5645-9605-01 in ventilation, refrigeration and electrical work.
Arcoaire grants a 5-year limited parts warranty, plus an additional 5 years with timely registration, for owner-occupied homes. This model is available while supplies last; sold alone, it is not eligible for the LogisVert grant.

Frequently asked questions
Is a 5-ton coil right for my home?
Only if the cooling needs and the outdoor unit call for it. A bigger coil brings no extra comfort if it does not match the system. We do the assessment during the free estimate.
How is a 78 lb coil installed?
Our technicians carry it to the furnace and set it carefully. A clear path on the stairs and around the unit makes the work easier.
Where does all the condensate go?
The coil has two drain connections. We send the water to a floor drain or a condensate pump, depending on the basement layout.
Will the cabinet line up with my furnace?
Yes if your electric furnace or air handler is 24-1/2 in wide. Send us its model number: we check before ordering.
Does it work with a heat pump?
The ICP spec sheet does not say so for this model. We confirm the match with your outdoor unit before ordering.
