Mounted on the return air side of an AMUH multi-position air handler, the GENERAL AIRSTAGE filter base (86ET0002, 86ET0001 or 86ET0003) keeps the filter firmly in place at the unit’s inlet. Whether you choose the GENERAL version or the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE version, it is the same part, from the same factories. The name change dates from January 1, 2026, when Fujitsu General Limited became GENERAL Inc.; the AIRSTAGE catalogue kept every one of its model numbers. Thanks to the base, dust reaches neither the coil nor the fan, and the filter can be replaced without any hassle, even when the air handler is tucked into a closet.
Every AMUH cabinet has its size
The manufacturer files the base among the accessories for its R-32 air handlers and provides a version for each cabinet size. The choice is therefore settled with a glance at the air handler’s nameplate, where its model number appears.
The three part numbers
- 86ET0002: small cabinet (AMUH12KUAS, AMUH18KUAS, AMUH24KUAS), 16 × 20 in base
- 86ET0001: medium cabinet (AMUH30KUAS, AMUH36KUAS, AMUH48KUAS), 20 × 20 in base
- 86ET0003: size to be determined together, according to the air handler you have
What the filter does
As long as the filter stays clean, air moves at the rate the manufacturer intended. Once blocked, on the other hand, it makes the home less comfortable, puts extra strain on the fan motor and lets dust cling to the coil. Take a look at it at least every time the season changes, and more often during renovations or if pets live in the home.

The manufacturer lists 86ET0002 (16 × 20 in) for the AMUH12KUAS, AMUH18KUAS and AMUH24KUAS, and the 20 × 20 in base for the AMUH30KUAS, AMUH36KUAS and AMUH48KUAS. Send us your model number and we confirm.
Is the filter included?
The manufacturer’s sheet shows the base only. We tell you which filter fits when we quote.
How often should the filter be changed?
