The PMK-DJ09PHAAR05 wireless remote is the one Hitachi supplies with airHome 400 wall-mounted heat pumps. The manufacturer’s submittal sheets list it as the remote included with the RAK-DJ09PHAA wall-mounted unit and with the RAK-DJ07QHAA multi-zone wall-mounted unit.
The everyday control for the airHome 400
On the airHome 400, the Wi-Fi adapter is optional: for most owners, the remote remains the only way to set the mode, temperature and fan. When it gets lost or broken, replacing it with the original part avoids universal remotes that do not recognize every function.

- PMK-DJ09PHAAR06: original wall holder.
The indoor unit’s model number, on the nameplate, starts with RAK-DJ. The airHome 600 (RAK-GJ) and 800 (RAK-XJ) wall-mounted units use other remotes.
Controlling the unit remotely
To add control by phone, Hitachi offers the SPX-WFA01 Wi-Fi adapter and the airCloud Go app. The remote is still useful alongside it.
