The Fujitsu shut-off valve kit is a genuine part tied to leak detection on R-32 refrigerant systems. It is available in two models, UTPGU027A and UTPGU060A, and is chosen based on the system it has to protect.
A safety measure specific to A2L refrigerants
R-32 has a low global warming potential, but it is classified A2L, meaning mildly flammable. Installation standards therefore govern the amount of refrigerant allowed based on the volume of the rooms served, and manufacturers provide measures such as leak sensors and shut-off valves. Recent Fujitsu AIRSTAGE indoor units in fact include a built-in refrigerant leak sensor.
