Same outdoor unit, colder NEEP point

With the console, NEEP lists a colder point for the same outdoor unit than with the wall head.

NEEP lists each outdoor + head combination separately (points rechecked October 26, 2026). With the wall head, having no colder point does not mean the unit stops: the brochures state heating down to −35 °C (Heat Xtreme Pro) and −25 °C (DA25).

Questions

What people ask us, and what the sources say.

Console or wall unit: how to choose?

The console sits at the bottom of the wall, often under a window, when the top of the wall is not free. At 12,000 BTU/h, the Heat Xtreme Pro console delivers 12,000 BTU/h at −15 °C, like the same-size Heat Xtreme Pro wall unit, and NEEP lists a −30 °C point for it.

How much space is needed under the window?

Per our product pages, the cabinet is 700 mm wide, 600 mm high and 210 mm deep (the brochure prints 700 × 600 × 210 mm). Add the manual’s clearances and room for the connections; we measure on site.

Heat Xtreme Pro or DA25?

At −15 °C: 12,000 BTU/h for the Heat Xtreme Pro, 8,400 for the DA25 (ENERGY STAR). Coldest point: −30 °C versus −25 °C (NEEP). LogisVert: $1,152 versus $1,080. Warranty: 10 years on the compressor versus 5.

Can it be run from a wall thermostat?

Yes: the brochure offers a wall thermostat and a programmable wired controller as options. The wireless remote is included.

Does the console work in multi-zone?

Yes. The brochures say every indoor unit works in multi-zone: a console can share a multi-zone outdoor unit with other heads.
