The DIRECT AIR space at AirGreenSold and installed by AirGreen
Ducted: a hidden head, and the pressure your ducts need.
The range has 14 listings: horizontal or vertical from 9,000 to 18,000 BTU/h, and a 24,000 for both positions, with the Heat Xtreme Pro or DA25 outdoor unit. The choice comes down to the static pressure your ducts require: from 0.16 to 0.64 in. wc depending on size. With the Heat Xtreme Pro, NEEP lists a −30 °C point for every size.
Horizontal, vertical, or the 24,000 that does both.
The horizontal (DUH) and vertical (DUV) versions have the same ENERGY STAR and NEEP figures and the same dimensions; only the position changes. The air intake can be at the back or the top, per the brochures.
Horizontal
DIRM-xxHP-DUH
9,000 · 12,000 · 18,000 BTU/h
Lying in a dropped ceiling. Body 200 mm (9,000, 12,000) or 210 mm (18,000) high.
Vertical
DIRM-xxHP-DUV
9,000 · 12,000 · 18,000 BTU/h
Standing in a closet or mechanical room. Same dimensions as the horizontal version.
24,000, both
DIRM-24HP-DU
24,000 BTU/h
A single model for both positions. Body of 1,092 × 762 × 254 mm, and the highest static pressure: up to 0.64 in. wc.
The figure that decides the size: 0.16, 0.40 or 0.64 in. wc.
A ducted unit has to push air through your whole duct system. Enter the static pressure calculated for your ducts, and the airflow needed if you know it.

NEEP lists each outdoor + head combination separately (points rechecked October 26, 2026). With the wall head, having no colder point does not mean the unit stops: the brochures state heating down to −35 °C (Heat Xtreme Pro) and −25 °C (DA25).
Same ducted unit, two outdoor units: size by size.
Figures for the horizontal version; the vertical one is the same. At 18,000, the DA25 offers more static pressure (0.40 in. wc) than the Heat Xtreme Pro (0.16).

What people ask us, and what the sources say.
Horizontal or vertical: how to choose?
By the space: horizontal in a dropped ceiling, vertical in a closet or mechanical room. Both versions have the same ENERGY STAR and NEEP figures and the same dimensions. The 24,000 is a single model for both positions.
What static pressure do they offer?
Per the brochures: 0 to 0.16 in. wc for the 9,000 and 12,000 of both series and the 18,000 Heat Xtreme Pro; 0 to 0.40 in. wc for the 18,000 DA25; 0 to 0.64 in. wc for the 24,000 units.
Why is the 12,000 DA25 ducted unit not eligible for LogisVert?
It is not on the October 14, 2026 list. ENERGY STAR rates it at 11,500 BTU/h in cooling, under the program’s 12,000 BTU/h threshold. The 12,000 Heat Xtreme Pro ducted unit, certified at 12,000 BTU/h, qualifies: $1,272.
Can electric heat be added?
The brochures offer an optional electric duct heater for the duct units. We size it and connect it with the ducted unit.
Down to what temperature does it heat?
With the Heat Xtreme Pro outdoor unit, NEEP publishes a −30 °C point for each size (5,000 to 11,000 BTU/h at most). With the DA25 outdoor unit, the coldest point is −25 °C (3,900 to 10,500 BTU/h).
