Quick facts
The SPX-DST1 distributor ("Adapter for Wired Remote Group Controller") lets you control several Hitachi airHome indoor units with a single wired remote control. Hitachi lists it among the accessories for the entire airHome line, for single-zone and multi-zone systems alike.
One control, several units
In a store, an office or a large open room, several indoor units often work in the same space. According to the airHome technical guide, the distributor is used with the wired remote control to centralize their control: one setting, applied to the whole group.
Up to 13 units
- One distributor can be linked to three other distributors.
- A single wired remote control then runs up to 13 indoor units.
- Cable specified by Hitachi: SPX-WDST8M, 8 m (26.2 ft).
Which wall control?
For the airHome line, Hitachi offers the SPX-URFG1 wired remote control, sold as the airPoint Room H700. If each room needs to keep its own settings, one control per unit is the better choice; the distributor suits shared spaces where all the units have to run together.
