Quick facts
Replace your boiler with an 18 kW BTH ULTRA, quiet and weather-driven
A wall-mounted boiler made for homes heated with hot water
Many Quebec homes still heat their rooms with radiators or hot water baseboards installed decades ago. When the wall-mounted boiler that feeds them reaches the end of its life, Thermo 2000’s BTH ULTRA 18 takes its place without redoing the distribution. It delivers 18 kW at 240 V, or 61,416 BTU/h, and heats water up to 190 °F (90 °C).
This size suits a mid-size home heated by radiators, a two-storey home with hot water baseboards, or a larger radiant floor. Thermo 2000 also designs it as backup for a heat pump, geothermal or solar system, and presents it as a boiler with no GHG emissions that is easy to maintain.
Four identical elements, evenly spread output
The BTH ULTRA 18 has four 4.5 kW elements, one per stage. The T2 UltraSmart controller modulates output based on the loop’s demand: it engages only the stages needed and adjusts the water temperature from the supplied outdoor sensor. Three curves (MIN, STD, MAX) and presets by distribution system let the setting match radiators, baseboards or a floor. Warm weather shutdown, Boost mode and pump purge round out the package.
Thermo 2000 describes it as compact, lightweight and quiet. At 63 lb with 2 US gallons of water, it mounts on the wall, often in the space of the old boiler. Its 1 in female NPT connections and the two supplied reducers make it easier to adapt to existing piping.
What AirGreen’s installation covers
The free on-site estimate lets us see the old boiler, the condition of the loop and your electrical panel. The BTH ULTRA 18 draws 75 A at 240 V and Thermo 2000 lists a 100 A breaker, with copper wire gauge 4 or aluminum gauge 2: we confirm that your electrical service can take it. You then receive a written quote.
On replacement day, our technicians disconnect and remove the old unit, mount the new boiler, connect it to the loop and the electrical circuit, then fill and purge the system. They choose the preset that matches your radiators or baseboards and check each stage. Thermo 2000 covers the tank for 15 years and electrical and mechanical components for 2 years.
