Quick facts
24 kW in a 63 lb wall-mounted cabinet: heat for a large home without crowding the mechanical room
For large homes and small buildings
Thermo 2000’s BTH ULTRA 24 delivers 24 kW at 240 V, or 81,888 BTU/h, with four 6 kW elements. Despite that output, it remains a 63 lb wall-mounted boiler holding 2 US gallons of water. That counts when the mechanical room is small or already houses a water heater, an electrical panel and the loop piping.
This size suits a large home heated by radiant floors, radiators or hot water baseboards, a small building whose units share a heating loop, or a commercial space heated through the floor. Thermo 2000 presents the BTH ULTRA for residential, commercial and institutional applications, in new construction as well as replacement.
Controls that adapt and protect
The T2 UltraSmart controller spreads output over four stages based on demand and sets the water temperature with the supplied outdoor sensor, on one of three curves (MIN, STD, MAX). In the shoulder seasons, warm weather shutdown keeps the boiler from running needlessly; Boost mode remains available. Presets by distribution system, a backlit display, pump purge and a 24 V supply for the thermostat and accessories round out the controller.
For safety, the boiler has an automatic limit at 208 °F (98 °C) and a manual limit at 227 °F (108 °C). The supplied 30 psi relief valve protects the loop, whose working pressure must not exceed 30 psi (207 kPa).
What the electrical service must allow
At 240 V single phase, the BTH ULTRA 24 draws 100 A. Thermo 2000 lists a 125 A breaker and copper wire gauge 2 or aluminum gauge 0. In a building supplied at 208 V, output is multiplied by 0.75. These figures often decide the size, and we check them before proposing this boiler.
What AirGreen’s installation covers
After a free on-site estimate, you receive a written quote that sets out the boiler, the electrical circuit and the work on the loop. Our technicians then mount the unit on the wall, connect it through its 1 in female NPT connections (two reducers supplied), make the electrical connection, fill and purge the system, then set the curve and presets. Thermo 2000 covers the tank for 15 years and electrical and mechanical components for 2 years.
AirGreen is a family business established in Montreal for more than fifteen years, holding RBQ licence 5645-9605-01 in ventilation, refrigeration and electrical work.

Frequently asked questions
Can my electrical service handle a 24 kW boiler?
The BTH ULTRA 24 draws 100 A at 240 V and Thermo 2000 lists a 125 A breaker. During the free estimate, we check the capacity of your panel and electrical service before confirming this size.
Can it heat a small building or a business?
Thermo 2000 presents the BTH ULTRA for residential, commercial and institutional applications. The output is confirmed against the building’s heating needs.
How does the boiler protect itself against overheating?
It has two high limits: an automatic limit at 208 °F (98 °C) and a manual limit at 227 °F (108 °C). The 30 psi relief valve protects the loop against overpressure.
Can it run at 208 V?
Yes. Thermo 2000 states that at 208 V, output is multiplied by 0.75 and current by 0.867. We take this into account when choosing the size.
What warranty does Thermo 2000 offer?
15 years on the tank and 2 years on electrical and mechanical components.
