Quick facts
The float switch monitors the water level in the condensate pan of a ducted or cassette indoor unit. Hitachi assigns a specific part number to each family of multi-zone airHome units: that is what sets apart the three models offered here.
Three floats, three unit families
The manufacturer’s submittal sheets specify the float for each indoor unit. On some, it comes with the unit; on others, it is an optional accessory.
Matching by model
- PMRAMD-350BWR11: RAD-GJ07, RAD-GJ09 and RAD-GJ12QHAA ducted units, as an optional accessory.
- PMRAD-50DH7004: RAD-GJ24QHAA ducted unit, factory-supplied with the unit.
- E06200: RAI-GJ07, RAI-GJ09, RAI-GJ12 and RAI-GJ24QHAA mini-cassettes, factory-supplied.
Before ordering
Note the full model number from the indoor unit’s nameplate, then choose the matching float. The replacement is done inside the unit, near the electrical components: the power must be cut and the work left to a technician. It is also the right time to clean the pan and check the slope and flow of the condensate drain.
Installed by AirGreen across Greater Montréal
