Quick facts
A narrow Bosch coil for mechanical rooms where every inch counts
The Bosch BMAC2430ANTD is a cased evaporator coil: the heat exchanger comes in its own cabinet, ready to connect to an electric furnace or an air handler. It measures 14½ in wide by 20 in high, a size that fits where space is short. AirGreen installs it in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, on the South Shore and on the North Shore.
What this coil is and who it suits
In a central system, the evaporator coil is the part that cools the air before it goes into the ducts. Refrigerant from the outdoor unit flows through it, and the furnace or air handler blower pushes the house air across its fins. Bosch presents the BMAC2430ANTD as compatible with both air conditioning and heat pumps: in winter, matched with a heat pump, the same coil is used for heating.
This model is first for owners of a Bosch system who need to replace an identical BMAC coil. It also suits homeowners who want to add air conditioning or a heat pump to an electric furnace whose cabinet has the same width. Bosch designed it to pair with its BOVA 2.0 heat pump, and its matching tables pair it with the BOVA-36HDN1-M20G outdoor unit.
Where it fits in a Quebec house or condo
In many bungalows in Longueuil or Laval, the electric furnace sits in a corner of the basement where space is shared with the water heater, the electrical panel and the ducts. In a Montreal condo, the system is sometimes in a simple closet. A cabinet 14½ in wide and 20 in high leaves more room to connect the ducts and keep service access.
The coil is multi-position: Bosch approves it in upflow, downflow and horizontal, left or right. The published maximum airflow is 1,125 CFM in upflow and horizontal right, and 1,050 CFM in horizontal left and downflow. We take these values into account before choosing the position. Bosch provides a multi-position drain pan and an all-aluminum coil designed to resist corrosion.
What AirGreen’s installation covers
Everything starts with a free on-site estimate. We note the model of your furnace or air handler, its width, the outdoor unit in place or planned, and the condition of the refrigerant lines. The BMAC2430ANTD connects with a 3/8 in liquid line and a 3/4 in vapor line. Bosch does not publish a nominal tonnage for this model: the match with the outdoor unit sets the capacity, and we confirm it before ordering. Since Bosch has discontinued this model, we also confirm availability.
On installation day, our technicians set the coil, connect the cabinet to the air handler and the ducts, hook up the condensate drain, braze the lines, pull a vacuum and commission the system. Bosch requires a TXV at the indoor coil to match its outdoor units; we check its setting at start-up.
One thing to know: sold alone, a coil has no efficiency rating of its own and does not qualify for the LogisVert grant. If you are replacing the whole system, we prepare a quote for a complete matched set.

The indoor coil of a ducted central system
The BMAC2430ANTD is installed on an electric furnace or an air handler. In summer it cools the air going into the ducts; matched with a heat pump, it also heats. Bosch designed it to pair with its BOVA 2.0 heat pump.
- Replacing a worn-out Bosch BMAC2430ANTD coil with the same model
- Adding air conditioning to an electric furnace whose cabinet has the same width
- Completing a Bosch BOVA 2.0 heat pump, including the BOVA-36HDN1-M20G unit listed by Bosch
- Narrow mechanical rooms, condo closets and low-ceiling basements

What to know before installing
- Sold alone: not eligible for the LogisVert grant. A coil has no efficiency rating on its own; performance depends on the outdoor unit and the cabinet it is matched with.
- Bosch does not publish a nominal tonnage for this exact model (the BMAC series covers 2 to 5 tons): we confirm the match with the outdoor unit before ordering.
- Bosch requires a TXV at the indoor coil to match its outdoor units.
- The coil has no blower and no heating element: it sits on an electric furnace or an air handler.
- Discontinued by Bosch: we confirm availability before setting the installation date.

Frequently asked questions
Does this coil work with a heat pump?
Yes. Bosch presents it as compatible with both air conditioning and heat pumps, and designed it to pair with its BOVA 2.0 heat pump. Bosch requires a TXV at the indoor coil for this match.
How many tons does this coil cover?
Bosch does not publish a nominal tonnage for the BMAC2430ANTD. The BMAC series runs from 2 to 5 tons and the actual capacity depends on the outdoor unit. In its matching tables, Bosch pairs this model with the BOVA-36HDN1-M20G unit.
Can it be installed horizontally?
Yes. Bosch approves it in upflow, downflow and horizontal, left or right. The published maximum airflow is 1,125 CFM in upflow and horizontal right, and 1,050 CFM in horizontal left and downflow.
Does it qualify for a grant?
Not when sold alone. A coil has no efficiency rating of its own and does not qualify for the LogisVert grant. If you are replacing the whole system, ask us for a quote on a complete matched set.
