Why a console, and where to put it.

Under a window

Where a wall unit cannot go up high: under a window, in a basement, under a sloped roof.

Heat starts low

In heating, warm air leaves from the top and the bottom (bottom outlet set by hand), per Samsung.

Cool air from the top

In cooling, air leaves through the motorized top vane, per Samsung.

Heating uses both outlets. Cooling uses one.

Where the old radiator was.

Samsung presents it as a good option to replace a radiator: it sits on the floor or low on the wall, and also blows heat out at the bottom.
