Frequently asked questions

What people ask us about the X Series.

Why choose the X on 115 V?

Because it is rated 23 SEER (9,000 BTU/h) and 22 SEER (12,000 BTU/h) there, versus 16 for the P Series at the same voltage. The required circuit is 12 A or 15 A (MCA).

What is the largest X?

The DHX24: 22,000 BTU/h of cooling and 23,000 BTU/h of rated heating, 20 SEER, with a 39 × 31 × 17 in., 142 lb outdoor unit.

How cold does the X heat?

Down to −20 °C (−4 °F), like the P Series. Only the Z Series goes down to −30 °C.

Does the X Series qualify for LogisVert?

Not our listings: none of the 6 AHRI numbers on our X Series listings is on Hydro-Québec’s October 26, 2026 list. So we promise no amount.

X or Z at 12,000 BTU/h?

Same rated heating (13,000 BTU/h). The Z is rated 23 SEER versus 22, goes down to 23 dB(A) versus 29 and heats down to −30 °C versus −20 °C; the X also comes in 115 V.
