Quick facts
A wide-pan ADP coil for a code 36 central system
Three measurements before ordering
An uncased evaporator coil has to sit cleanly on the unit that moves the air, whether it is an electric furnace or an air handler. For ADP’s HE32936A155A0000AP, we check three dimensions published by the manufacturer:
- the drain pan width, 15.5 in, compared with that of the unit and the plenum;
- the coil height, 15 in, which sets the space needed in the plenum;
- the pan depth, 19.5 in.
If the widths differ, we plan a transition in the quote rather than cutting one on installation day. These checks are done during the visit and avoid ordering a part that does not fit. The model installs upflow or downflow, in a right-hand configuration (code 00).
What the HE32936A155A0000AP is
It is an A-coil with an E32 copper slab, shipped uncased, weighing 28 lb. Its capacity code 36 stands for 36,000 BTU/h nominal per ADP nomenclature, and the manufacturer publishes a reference airflow of 1,200 CFM at 36 MBTUH. ADP’s selection table lists this slab in the 24, 30 and 36 MBTUH rows: the exact match is therefore confirmed against the outdoor unit’s documentation, a step we always take.
Its metering device is a non-bleed TXV designed for heat pump and air conditioning use on R-410A. The coil thus suits two-storey and semi-detached homes that want air conditioning, or a central heat pump on their electric furnace. The pan is moulded from UV-resistant, 450°F polymer with Microban antimicrobial additive, and the coil is factory tested with helium and at 500 psi air pressure.
Note: a coil sold alone has no efficiency rating of its own and is not eligible for the LogisVert grant.
AirGreen’s work
A family business established in Montreal for more than fifteen years, AirGreen holds RBQ licence 5645-9605-01 (ventilation, refrigeration and electrical). After a free on-site estimate and a written quote, our technicians set the coil, build the transition if needed, braze the 3/4 in ODF suction connection and the other copper connections, connect the drain and commission the system. We also check that the unit’s blower delivers the required airflow.
We work in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, the North Shore and the South Shore. On warranty, ADP covers parts for 5 years from installation, extendable to 10 years under the conditions of its extended warranty; labour is not part of it.

An A-coil for wider units
The HE32936A155A0000AP sits on a 15.5 in wide pan in the plenum of an electric furnace or air handler. It cools the air in summer and, paired with a heat pump, contributes to heating in winter.
- Central air conditioning or heat pump on an electric furnace with a wider cabinet
- Replacing an uncased A-coil of the same width
- Two-storey and semi-detached homes that already have ductwork
- Projects where blower airflow must be checked before choosing the coil

What to know before installing
- Sold alone: not eligible for the LogisVert grant. The coil has no efficiency rating of its own; performance depends on the outdoor unit and indoor unit it is matched with.
- The pan is 15.5 in wide: we measure the unit and plenum and plan a transition if the widths differ.
- Uncased coil, 15 in high: it sits in the plenum or in a compatible cabinet, which we plan for in the quote.
- Right-hand configuration (code 00), for upflow or downflow installation.
- The outdoor unit, refrigerant lines and indoor unit are not included.

Frequently asked questions
What unit width does this coil need?
Its pan is 15.5 in wide (width code 155). We measure the electric furnace or air handler and the plenum to confirm the fit, and plan a transition if needed.
What does code 36 mean?
It is the capacity code in ADP’s nomenclature: 36,000 BTU/h nominal. ADP’s selection table lists the E32 slab in the 24, 30 and 36 MBTUH rows; we confirm the match with your outdoor unit before ordering.
How much airflow does it need?
ADP publishes a reference airflow of 1,200 CFM at 36 MBTUH. We check that your unit’s blower and the ductwork can deliver it.
Can I use it with a heat pump?
Yes. ADP states that HE coils are compatible with air conditioning and heat pumps, and its non-bleed TXV is designed for both uses on R-410A.
Does it qualify for a grant?
No, a coil sold alone is not eligible for the LogisVert grant. For a complete replacement, ask us for a central heat pump quote.
