This ADP evaporator A-coil, shipped uncased, uses the E34 copper slab. In the manufacturer’s selection table, this slab appears in the 36 and 42 MBTUH rows, and the model’s capacity code is 36, which is 36,000 BTU/h nominal per ADP nomenclature. It is therefore aimed at central systems in that capacity range, found in large single-family homes, two-storey cottages or enlarged semi-detached homes.
It sits in the plenum of an electric furnace or air handler and becomes the indoor part of a central air conditioner or central heat pump. ADP states that its HE coils are compatible with air conditioning and heat pumps, and this model has a non-bleed TXV designed for both modes on R-410A. Paired with a heat pump, the same coil heats the house in winter, while the electric furnace stays in place for backup.
Height, the first thing to check
With a 19 in coil height, the vertical space above the unit becomes the deciding factor. In a finished basement, a beam or a low main duct can limit that space. That is why we measure the plenum at the visit and state in the quote any duct changes needed. The drain pan is 15.5 in wide and 19.5 in deep, and the coil weighs 35 lb.
ADP publishes a reference airflow of 1,200 CFM at 36 MBTUH. We check that your unit’s blower can deliver it before confirming the match.
Construction and manufacturer warranty
- Copper connections for brazing, including the 3/4 in ODF suction.
- UV-resistant, 450°F polymer drain pan treated with Microban antimicrobial additive.
- Helium leak test and 500 psi air pressure test at the factory.
- ADP 5-year limited parts warranty, extendable to 10 years under the conditions of its extended warranty; labour is not covered by the manufacturer.
Like any coil sold alone, it has no efficiency rating of its own and is not eligible for the LogisVert grant.

Does this coil qualify for the LogisVert grant?
No, a coil sold alone is not eligible. If you are replacing the whole system, we can offer you a complete central heat pump.
