The QuietComfort® Crossover heat pump of brochure DLS-045: variable-speed compressor, runs from -30 to 50 °C, up to 19.0 SEER2 and 10.8 HSPF2. It “maintains the characteristics of traditional ducted heating and cooling while leveraging elements of ductless technology”.

Variable-speed rotary compressor. The B in the model (DLCURAH…ABK) marks the high-heat version: heating down to -30 °C. Crankcase and base-pan heaters are standard on every size.

The same 3-ton DLCURA, three AHRI numbers: it all depends on the unit in the basement.
Here the DLCURA is paired with the DLFUAA air handler, which replaces the furnace. On the Add-on page it goes with a DLFULA coil on top of the furnace you keep.

2 sizes
One D5FUHA indoor unit covers two capacities.
The D5FUHAH36XAK serves both the 2.5 and the 3 ton: the capacity is set on its control board. Same for the 24 (1.5 and 2 tons) and the 60 (4 and 5 tons).

The D5FUHA adjusts its fan to your ducts.
Its “Computational Constant Airflow” adapts fan speed to the existing ducts, a dirty filter or a blocked coil, even with no call for heating or cooling.

Up to 213 ft (65 m) of refrigerant line for the DLCURA.
The factory charge and the published capacities are based on 25 ft (7.6 m); beyond that the installer adds 0.69 oz of refrigerant per foot (65 g/m). Useful when the outdoor unit must sit far from the basement.

What people ask us about ARCOAIRE central systems.
D5CUHA or DLCURA: which heats better at -30 °C?
It depends on the size. At 3 tons the D5CUHA still delivers 27,800 BTU/h with the D5FUAA indoor unit, against 21,500 BTU/h for the DLCURA. At 2 tons it is the other way around: 13,400 for the DLCURA, 12,000 and 12,100 for the D5CUHA. These are the maximums listed by NEEP at -22 °F.
Why two products for the same D5CUHA?
Because it pairs with two indoor units, the D5FUAA or the D5FUHA, and each pairing has its own AHRI number and figures. At 2.5 tons, for example: HSPF2 of 10.0 with the D5FUAA and 10.8 with the D5FUHA; indicative LogisVert amounts of $2,856 and $2,880.
Do the R4H5S, N4H5S, H4H5S and H4H7T qualify for LogisVert?
Our product sheets show no amount for them, and they are neither on NEEP’s cold-climate list nor in the ENERGY STAR Canada data read October 28, 2026. Only Hydro-Québec confirms eligibility and the amount granted.
I have a gas or oil furnace. Do I keep it?
It can be. The Add-on page shows the systems that go on top of an existing furnace, with a coil; whether your furnace is compatible is checked at the visit. Gas and oil work is done by a licensed partner.
How do you choose the size?
At the visit. We look at the house, the ducts, the insulation and the electrical panel, then propose the system that fits, with its AHRI number when it has one.
Where does the outdoor unit go?
For the DLCURA, the manufacturer lists clearances of 24 in and 4 in depending on the side, and asks for the unit to sit at least 2 in (50 mm) above the deepest expected snow.
Is this the LogisVert amount I will get?
No. It is an indicative amount from our product sheets. Only Hydro-Québec confirms the amount granted, when you apply.
