01 · What to know

Six facts that change the choice.

From Fujitsu documents, the ENERGY STAR list and the NEEP list, read October 8, 2026.

-30 °C

At -30 °C, the Orion XLTH+ still delivers 10,200 to 15,100 BTU/h depending on size, 101 to 113% of its nominal capacity. At -26 °C, the Orion XLTH delivers 11,400 to 19,110 BTU/h.

Wi-Fi

Built-in Wi-Fi on the Orion XLTH+, Orion XLTH and Altair 700; optional, with the UTY-TFSXH4 adapter, on the Altair 500 and Altair 300.

Orion only

Occupancy sensor and heated base pan: only on the Orion XLTH+ and the Orion XLTH.

$1,488 ≠ cold

The LogisVert amount does not rank wall units in deep cold: the Altair 300 18,000 earns $1,488 and the Altair 500 18,000 earns $1,356, although the Altair 500 heats more at -15 °C (18,500 vs 14,500 BTU/h).

AHRI “B”

Fujitsu also offers “B” indoor units (KTBS, KZBS, KMBS, KPBS) with the same ratings but a different AHRI number: that number goes on the LogisVert file.

675 · 2,088

R-32 has a 100-year global warming potential of 675, against 2,088 for R-410A, using the US EPA’s reference values.

02 · The five R-32 series

Five series. The Orion units for deep cold, the Altair units for the rest.

Fujitsu ranks its own wall units in five tiers. The two Orion series heat far lower than the three Altair series. Among the Altair, what changes is the cold-climate mark, Wi-Fi, the size range and efficiency. Tap a series to see all its sizes.

Orion XLTH

Heats down to -26 °C, with no cold-weather cut-out. At -26 °C it still gives 80% (24,000) to 127% (9,000) of its nominal capacity, according to Fujitsu. Five sizes from 9,000 to 24,000 BTU/h, with built-in Wi-Fi and a heated base pan.

10 · The R-410A generation

Eight R-410A series, still in AirGreen’s catalogue.

Before R-32, Fujitsu wall units ran on R-410A. Fujitsu lists them as retired models; they stay in the catalogue, and in Québec they can be serviced for their whole useful life. Each card shows the closest R-32 equivalent.

LogisVert and R-410A: the amount varies a lot from one series to another. Some are still ENERGY STAR cold-climate certified (LZAH1, LZAS1, RLXFWH, RLXEH, LMAS1 at 18,000 and 24,000), others are standard ENERGY STAR (LMAH1 and generation-H LMAS1 at 12,000), and others are off the list (RLB, RL2, RLXFW1, LPAS1 from 12,000 up, generation-G LMAS1) and get nothing. Tick “Include the R-410A generation” in the grid to see each model’s amount next to the R-32 units.
