11 · Frequently asked questions
What people ask us about distributors.
It’s the wholesaler between the manufacturer and the installer: it buys or imports the units, stores them, resells them to contractors and often provides training and technical support. TTI Climatisation, for example, sells exclusively to professionals.
That’s the case for Gree: we buy it from three distributors, each for its own lines. Wolseley Canada supplies Charmo, Clivia and Airy; TTI Climatisation, Livo, Vireo and Sapphire; Gree Canada (Sunrise Tradex), the brand’s importer in Canada, Vita, Crossover, Extreme and X-Match.
A brand owned by the distributor itself: ELIOS (Groupe Master, 2018), CanAir (Descair, exclusive distributor), Zephyr (TTI, a Québec brand), ForestAir (Gree Canada, 2008), Direct Air (Powrmatic), HAXXAIR (RBL A/C) and Durastar (Wolseley, a brand of the Ferguson group, its parent company). Senville sells its own brand.
No. The grant is based on the heat the model delivers at −8 °C: $120 per 1,000 BTU/h for an ENERGY STAR cold-climate heat pump, according to participation guide v1.10 of September 15, 2026. The amounts on our product pages are estimates; only Hydro-Québec confirms the grant.
Several sell only to professionals. Senville has also been sold in stores since April 2026, but its warranty requires the final vacuum to be done by a licensed professional technician.
It comes from the brand. Gree Canada, for example, offers up to 10 years on parts and labour on select models. Ask us for your model’s exact terms during the estimate.
We buy Gree from three distributors: Wolseley Canada, TTI Climatisation and Gree Canada (Sunrise Tradex), the brand’s importer in Canada since 2011, based in Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil. Each supplies its own lines.
Several brands can come out of the same factory. Based on our reading of the 2026 market, Senville, CanAir, ELIOS, Direct Air and Durastar share the Midea platform, Kinghome and Tosot the Gree platform, and HAXXAIR comes from Hisense factories. Same platform, not always the same machine.
