Air conditioning, ventilation and heating — all our products in one place.
Thousands of models from over 60 brands. Rank them by your priorities, put your finalists head to head and see what they really deliver at −15 °C, how much noise they make and the indicative grant.
Compare like with like: pick a category.
Each category has its own criteria. A heat pump is judged on cold and quiet, an air exchanger on the heat it recovers and the power it uses.

Comparison tool FAQ
How do I compare two heat pumps?
Start with how cold the unit keeps heating and the heat it delivers at −15 °C: that is what matters in January. Then look at efficiency (HSPF for winter, SEER for summer), sound level and the grant. The head-to-head highlights the best figure in each row.
What is the difference between SEER and HSPF?
SEER measures seasonal cooling efficiency, HSPF seasonal heating efficiency. In both cases, the higher the number, the less electricity the unit uses for the same comfort.
Why look at heat at −15 °C rather than the model’s BTU?
The BTU in the model name are measured in mild weather. In the cold, the heat delivered changes. The −15 °C value, from certified data, shows what the unit really does in a Québec winter.
Is the grant shown guaranteed?
No. The amount is indicative and comes from Hydro-Québec’s LogisVert list for the exact model. Only Hydro-Québec confirms the help granted.
Why are prices not shown?
Every installation is different: line length, mounting, electrical work, access. Before starting the work, we always send a final quote. The on-site estimate is free.
Where does the data come from?
From manufacturers’ spec sheets and certification directories (AHRI, NEEP) for performance, and from Hydro-Québec’s LogisVert list for the grant. A value nobody publishes stays empty: we never guess it.
Can I compare products from different categories?
The head-to-head stays within one category because the criteria change: an air exchanger is not judged like a heat pump. Pick the category at the top of the page, then your finalists.
How do I choose the right size?
The quick guide gives an indicative size based on area. Insulation, windows and ceiling height change everything: a technician confirms it on site, and the estimate is free.
