Cold climate: the $200 maximum is all but guaranteed

25% of $800 is $200. In the cold-climate class, 6,667 BTU/h at -8 °C is enough for $800 of LogisVert: our smallest cold-climate heat pump delivers 7,600.

Hydro-Québec’s math: heating capacity at -8 °C ÷ 1,000 × the rate. Every amount on the list follows this rule, without exception. 25% of $800 is $200: past that, the City’s top-up stops rising. LogisVert never exceeds 100% of the pre-tax purchase and installation cost (guide, sect. 2.7), and the outdoor unit must deliver at least 12,000 BTU/h in cooling (appendix I).
