Quick facts
10 kW of central heating that bends to your space
Who the Dettson SUP10-A120D12 is for
Not every home needs a large furnace. A small house, a mobile home, a basement apartment or a ducted addition often needs modest output, but a unit that goes where there is room. The Dettson Suprême Avantage SUP10-A120D12 covers those cases: 10 kW at 240 V, 7.5 kW at 208 V, in a painted steel cabinet 36 1/2 in high.
It is approved by Dettson for zero clearance and for mobile home installation, and it accepts copper or aluminum supply wiring, a useful detail in some older homes.
An installation that adapts to the house
This is the furnace’s main strength: it is multiposition. It leaves the factory set for upflow, but can also be installed downflow, with the DFB-SUP base on a combustible floor, horizontal left or right, or suspended. In a basement where every inch counts, hanging it from the ceiling can free up the whole floor.
Day to day, everything is set from the front: a continuous fan switch, a low/high power switch and a light that comes on when the thermostat calls for heat. The breakers are also mounted at the front. The elements run in sequence, quietly according to Dettson, with a 5 kW first stage, and they can be replaced one by one if one ever needs changing.
Cooling and heat pumps
The four-speed, direct-drive 1/3 HP PSC motor delivers up to 1,150 CFM at 0.5 in. w.c. The furnace can therefore take an air conditioner or heat pump coil up to 3 tons, on the supply or the return side. One important point: Dettson forbids running the elements and the heat pump at the same time, which would cause overheating. We therefore set the system up for non-simultaneous operation.
What AirGreen’s installation covers
AirGreen is a family business established in Montreal for more than fifteen years, with RBQ licence 5645-9605-01 for ventilation, refrigeration and electrical work. This model needs a 3-wire supply (120–240/208 V) and, at 240 V, a breaker of no more than 60 A. During the free on-site estimate, we check the panel, choose the position and look at the condition of the ducts. You then receive a written quote that covers the installation, the electrical hookup, the thermostat and commissioning.
On warranty, Dettson covers parts for 5 years in residential use and 1 year in commercial use; labour is not covered by the manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions
What power supply does it need?
Dettson lists 120–240/208 V, single phase, 60 Hz, 3 wire. At 240 V: 48.3 A total current, 59.3 A ampacity and a 60 A maximum breaker. We check your panel during the free estimate.
Can it be suspended or installed on its side?
Yes. Dettson allows upflow (factory setup), downflow with the DFB-SUP base on a combustible floor, horizontal left or right, and suspended installation.
Can a heat pump be added?
Yes, with a coil up to 3 tons, on the supply or the return side. The elements and the heat pump must never run at the same time: the thermostat or a kit designed for it must handle the switchover. Dettson also offers a heat pump interface kit, the K03081.
What does it deliver at 208 V?
7.5 kW, including a 3.8 kW first stage, or 25,628 BTU/h. Total current is then 41.8 A and ampacity 51.7 A.
What is the warranty?
Dettson covers parts for 5 years in residential use and 1 year in commercial use. Labour is not covered by the manufacturer.
Does it qualify for the LogisVert grant?
No. Sold alone, an electric furnace is not a heat pump and does not qualify.
