GREE air-to-water heat pumps. Water up to 65 °C for your radiators or your heated floor. Which aid applies, and what work comes with it? It depends on what heats your home today.

2 GREE air-to-water heat pumps: the Versati IV, documented by GREE Canada, and the Versati III, from our product sheets only. For a home heated with hot water, through radiators, a heated floor or fan coils. The Versati IV heats the water inside the outdoor unit and sends it to the home’s network; its refrigerant never leaves the unit.

65 °CThe Versati IV’s hottest outlet water, per GREE Canada’s brochure, which aims it at radiators, fan coils and heated floors.
−25 °CThe bottom of its heating range in GREE Canada’s specification table, which also gives cooling from −15 to 48 °C.
5.8 kWElectric backup heat built into the unit, on its own circuit: 32 A MCA, 35 A maximum overcurrent protection.

Your current heating

Does your home already heat with hot water? Start there.

An air-to-water heat pump heats the water in a network. What heats your home today decides the possible aid and the work to plan.

What heats your home today

Pick your current system. The answer says which aid may apply, per the guides read Oct. 26 and 27, 2026, and what work comes with it.

The visit

Before the quote: four things we look at in your home.

A Versati IV is chosen for your home, not from a listing. Here is what the visit checks, and why.

Your heating todayThe boiler in place and its fuel: that is where the possible aid starts, as in the tool above.
Your emittersRadiators, heated floor or fan coils: they have to give enough heat with water of 65 °C at most, the hottest GREE Canada publishes for the Versati IV.GREE Canada, Versati IV brochure
Your panelTwo circuits to fit: one for the unit and one for its 5.8 kW backup heater, which GREE sizes separately.GREE Canada, Versati IV brochure

Versati IV or Versati III

Two listings, one model documented by GREE.

The Versati IV has its brochure and its page at GREE Canada. For the Versati III, we found no GREE document: its figures come from our product sheets and stay marked as such.

LogisVert · Hydro-Québec

LogisVert does not cover air-to-water. The Chauffez vert dual-energy component does, under conditions.

Air-to-airLogisVert: guide v1.10 covers air-to-air heat pumps only, split or mini-split; the word “air-to-water” (air-eau) does not appear in it.
$3,600Chauffez vert, dual-energy component: central hot-water heating serving one dwelling. An air-to-water heat pump is eligible.
$2,200At most, for increasing electrical capacity.
$5,600At most, for upgrading the building’s electrical network.

Chauffez vert participant guide, dual-energy electricity – natural gas component, in force since April 1, 2026: installing an air-to-water heat pump “is eligible for the program’s financial aid”. Among other conditions, the home must “be connected to a natural-gas distribution network for at least 12 months, in the case of existing buildings”; the participant “must subscribe to the electricity distributor’s dual-energy rate for the grant to be paid” and “commit to using the dual-energy electricity − natural gas system, at the dual-energy rate, for at least 10 years from the date of joining the rate” (our translations). Any gas work is done by a licensed partner. Indicative amounts.

Questions

Hot water, electricity, grants: your questions on GREE air-to-water.

Can an air-to-water heat pump heat through radiators or a heated floor?
The Versati IV is designed for underfloor coils, radiators and fan coils, with water up to 65 °C. The open question is whether your emitters put out enough heat at the water temperature it delivers in deep cold: one of the points the visit looks at before the quote.
Does the Versati IV also heat tap water?
Domestic hot water is among the uses GREE Canada’s brochure shows, along with heating through floors, radiators or fan coils. We cover it at the visit.
Is there a grant?
Not LogisVert: its guide covers air-to-air heat pumps only. If the home is heated by a natural-gas hot-water system, the dual-energy component of Chauffez vert makes the air-to-water heat pump eligible, with a commitment to the dual-energy rate for at least 10 years. The tool at the top of the page starts from your current heating.
What electrical service does it need?
208-230 V single phase, with two sets of values in the brochure: MCA 37 A and maximum overcurrent protection 60 A for the unit, MCA 32 A and maximum overcurrent protection 35 A for the 5.8 kW backup heater. Your panel’s capacity is checked at the visit.
Versati IV or Versati III?
The Versati IV is the air-to-water model GREE Canada sells: an R32 monobloc, documented by its brochure. Our Versati III listing describes a split with a hydro-box, on R-410A; we found no GREE document for it, so its figures remain our product-sheet data.
Does the Versati IV also cool?
Yes, through fan coils per the brochure: 45,726 BTU/h rated, from −15 to 48 °C outdoors. The heated floor and radiators appear only under heating.
