Quick facts
A 10 kW Hiboy electric furnace with an ECM motor, in a 20 x 21 in cabinet
A first-generation furnace, for a well-targeted replacement
The Conforto KHE-01-G010-H3 is an electric element furnace in the Hiboy format: a tall, multiposition cabinet that heats air and pushes it through your ductwork. It delivers 10 kW at 240 V and moves air with a 1/2 HP Ecotech ECM motor with five speeds. The KHE-01 code belongs to the first generation of the line. Today, Conforto mainly publishes documentation for the 2nd generation, the KHE-02 models.
This furnace is therefore aimed first at homeowners and contractors replacing an identical unit, or who want an ECM motor in the smallest size of the series. Before offering it to you, we check the exact code and the data sheet that goes with it. The step is simple, and it avoids an unpleasant surprise on connection day.
In a Québec home: what to look at
A 10 kW furnace targets modest heating needs. The right size, however, is determined on site, not from a rule of thumb: we look at insulation, windows and the condition of the ductwork before recommending an output. If the house needs more, the same series comes in larger sizes, and we will tell you so plainly.
On the electrical side, Conforto lists a total amperage of 44 A at 240 V, single phase. Breaker and wire sizes are confirmed from the manual for this code and the rating plate; we validate them before touching the panel. The cabinet measures 20 in wide by 21 in deep and weighs 105 lb (48 kg) shipped, which is manageable on a basement staircase.
The furnace can also take central air conditioning with a maximum capacity of 3 tons. If you plan to add cooling later, tell us at the estimate: room for the coil is planned at installation. Finally, an electric furnace sold alone is not a heat pump, so it does not qualify for the LogisVert grant.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the code start with KHE-01?
The 01 prefix marks the first generation of Conforto’s Hiboy furnaces. The manufacturer’s current documents cover the 2nd generation (KHE-02). Before ordering, we confirm with you the exact data sheet for this code and its availability.
What breaker does it need?
Conforto lists a total amperage of 44 A at 240 V for this model. Breaker and wire sizes are confirmed from the manual for this code and the rating plate: we check them before any connection.
Can central air conditioning be added?
Yes, with a maximum capacity of 3 tons according to Conforto. We choose the coil and the outdoor unit based on the house and the condition of the ductwork.
Is the filter included?
Yes. A 20 x 20 x 1 in disposable filter ships with the furnace.
Does it qualify for a grant?
Not when it is sold alone: an electric furnace is not a heat pump, so it does not qualify for the LogisVert grant.
