Quick facts
Even heat throughout the house, with 23 kW and an ECM motor
What the Conforto KLE-02-G023-H3 is
This Lowboy electric furnace is installed in the basement and pushes warm air out through the top, straight into the plenum. It combines two things owners of larger homes often look for together: 23 kW of output spread over five elements, and a five-speed 1/2 HP ECM (Ecotech) motor to set the airflow precisely.
It is a good fit for a family replacing an old low-profile furnace who wants to modernize the rest of the system at the same time: smart thermostat, central humidifier, air conditioning later.
Comfort, day to day
What sets this furnace apart is the way it heats. The first stage starts at 15 kW, then the other elements are added as demand requires. The ComfortMax control analyses each cycle to modulate the elements, and QuietComfort pre-warms recirculated air at low energy. According to Conforto, the house sees fewer short cycles and a steadier temperature.
The ECM motor adds another layer of adjustment. Conforto publishes four airflow settings, from 1,275 CFM on HIGH to 600 CFM on MED-LOW depending on duct pressure. We choose the speed that suits your ducts instead of leaving a generic setting.
- 1 or 2 stage 24 VAC thermostat, smart or not;
- 24 VAC connection for a central humidifier;
- fully insulated cabinet, LED diagnostics and a control board with a replaceable fuse.
In a home around here
Our winters test a furnace for months. Here, protection is doubled: redundant high limits, over-voltage and under-voltage protection. And if you add a central heat pump, the furnace accepts a coil up to 3.0 tons, on the supply or the return side. Its elements then become the backup heat, and the control turns one or more of them on during defrost.
What AirGreen’s installation covers
AirGreen is a family business established in Montreal for more than fifteen years, with RBQ licence 5645-9605-01 for ventilation, refrigeration and electrical work. The project starts with a free in-home estimate: we check that the panel can feed a 125 A circuit with 2 AWG wire, as Conforto requires, and that the space allows an upflow installation. You then receive a written quote. On installation day, we remove the old unit, connect the KLE to the ducts, make the electrical and thermostat connections, set the ECM speed and commission the system.

Everyday comfort in a larger home
The KLE-02-G023-H3 combines 23 kW of staged heating with a five-speed ECM motor. It is meant for homes that need more output while wanting airflow that is well matched to the ductwork.
- Larger homes heated through ductwork, with a low-profile furnace in the basement
- Projects that add a central humidifier connected to the furnace
- Homes with, or planning, a smart thermostat
- Future central air conditioner or heat pump up to 3.0 tons

Frequently asked questions
Can a central humidifier be connected to this furnace?
Yes. Conforto provides a 24 VAC connection for accessories, for example a central humidifier. The humidifier is sold separately.
Does it work with a smart thermostat?
Yes. It accepts 1 or 2 stage 24 VAC thermostats, smart thermostats included, with the G, W1, W2, R, Y1, Y2 and C terminals.
What is the five-speed ECM motor for?
To set the airflow for the ductwork and, later, for a heat pump or air conditioner coil. Conforto publishes airflows from 1,275 to 600 CFM depending on speed and pressure.
What electrical service does it need?
A 240 V single-phase circuit with a 125 A minimum ampacity, a 125 A maximum breaker and 2 AWG wire. We check your panel during the free estimate.
What if I add a heat pump?
The furnace accepts a coil up to 3.0 tons, on the supply or the return side. During defrost, the control turns on one or more elements depending on the DIP switch 3 setting.
Does it qualify for the LogisVert grant?
No. Sold alone, an electric furnace does not qualify.
